Amaya Olivo Espinal

Amaya’s practice is focused on business transactions and related tax considerations. She handles matters related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, including incorporations, creation of partnerships, corporate reorganizations, and various commercial transactions.

Amaya obtained a Licentiate in Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, where she graduated cum laude in 2012, and an LL.M. in Business Law from the Université de Montréal in 2015. She worked at Sweibel Novek while completing courses at the Université de Montréal and the Barreau du Québec and articled at Sweibel Novek before her call to the Bar in 2018.

Amaya is also a member of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic. She practiced in a Dominican law firm, where she worked on litigious, civil, and commercial matters prior to moving to Canada.
